One of our clients is currently converting a chapel and wanted to re-cover her Georgian style wingback chair to furnish the new space. Much of September was spent on the job transforming it from a 1980s green velvet covered chair into contemporary wool covered gorgeousness.
Marks on the chair frame showed it had been previously been upholstered using studs as part of the final trimming although no original fabric was left so we couldn’t tell if these studs had covered leather or fabric.
To fit in with the new building conversion, the client had chosen a fabulous Bute Wool from their Turnberry range which really updated the armchair.
We can’t wait until the building is finished as the client has kindly agreed that we can take pictures of the chair in situ.
