Green Ben Chairs

Our London client had sourced a set of 6 vintage Ben chairs and we were able to source another 2 with wooden arms. Once the six arrived to the workshop via courier we got to work taking them apart and ripping out. The tricky part was trying to get the wood sanded and finished prior to the new upholstery as the armchairs seemed to be made out of a slightly different beech grain. We believe the armchairs were older than the other six and the beech wood supplied during the manufacturing process probably changed after the late 1960s.
