We had a very enjoyable day near the Jurassic Coast at Corfe Village Hall on Sunday May 10th. Dave had a great idea to hold a crafty chair fair to showcase our talents in Upholstery, Caning, Rushing and Baking. Not only did we have many chairs on display but we also had demos going on to show people how the chairs were caned, alongside portfolios of our work. Many commented that they didn’t realise how much work goes into a piece of furniture, whether antique or modern.
I think we all decided it was well worth the early start and look forward to doing another one before the end of the year.
